I spent a mellow Tuesday in Ft. Worth before hitting Billy Bob's Texas in the evening. I slept in, wrote, and researched future legs of my journey. Now, I considered Fort Worth to be a stopover on my way to Amarillo and Route 66. An evening at Billy Bob's Texas, the self proclaimed "World's Largest Honky Tonk" promised to be an over-the-top diversion while in town. I was so excited to see it! In the evening I showered, shaved, put on the rockabilly shirt (from Katy K's in Nashville) and with palpable eagerness drove to Billy Bob's.
Their normal closing time is 2am... unless business is dead. In which case they close six minutes after my arrival.
