The CNN Center And Yet More BBQ

After Wednesday's hi-jinks I decided to forgo adventure in favor of rest and relaxation. An excellent decision. So Thursday I spent the day in my pajamas lounging around Kira's apartment and catching up on my writing. In the evening I drove to the CNN Center in downtown Atlanta to meet her (she's a crack lighting director) and get a tour. I was curious to see what had been done with, or more accurately to, my former place of employment... "In Session" (though I, and many others still refer to it as Court TV). It was well into the evening by the time I arrived and the staff had all left for the day. Though I still got to see the CNN Center... which is the massive and imposing home to such channels as CNN (obviously), CNN Espanol, Headline News, Nancy Grace, and about a million others. I must admit the facilities were mighty and impressive but I was feeling a bit conflicted. After all Court TV/In Session was my home for sixteen years. Now I was no longer part of the "Turner Family" and my home had been gobbled up by this cable TV behemoth. I did enjoy my time there but was glad it was short.

Kira had long been anxious to take me to her favorite place for barbeque... Daddy D'z BBQ Joynt. It's located in a somewhat precarious neighborhood but was well worth the trip. We ordered pulled pork, ribs, and a mess of sides. Something about southern portions, there always seems to be leftovers... I say this with a joyful heart.
