Crawfish... Yeah Baby!

It had been nearly fifteen years since I had decent Crawfish... I needed 'em bad! So I took a stroll down Decatur St. and then through Jackson Square. I found a good restaurant and ordered a pile... actually two piles of the much yearned for delicacies. As has been happening with regularity on my journey I closed my eyes, bounced my legs, and made yummy noises. It was like embracing a long lost friend. After lunch I sat by the Mississippi River and daydreamed for a bit, not really sure how long, as long as I felt like it...

Walking again through Jackson Square I listened to street musicians, browsed the shops, and bought some art from a local painter. Then it was one last cruise through Bourbon St. This was Sunday evening and the energy was only slightly less manic then on Friday. The music, as always was varied and mostly great. It occurred to me I hadn't had too many hot dogs lately. I grabbed a couple during my assignation with Violet Reaction and Maggot the night before in Baton Rouge... but it had been nearly a week prior to that. Lucky Dogs to the rescue! It was going to be a very long drive the following day. So I bought a Lucky Dog and a "Huge Ass Beer", then took the most liesurely of walks back to the hotel... the picture of contentment.
